Lyon Saint-Exupéry Airport

Lyon-Saint-Exupéry is not a resort airport: it is a connecting hub. Two passenger terminals according to its operator, a TGV station — Lyon-St-Exupéry-TGV — on the airport site itself, and a location that surprises people: the commune is Colombier-Saugnieu, twenty-five kilometres east of Lyon. Those three facts decide almost everything that follows.

What makes a Lyon departure different

A party travelling through a connecting hub rarely arrives as one: different flights, different times, different terminals. The right arrangement cannot be guessed — one pick-up after the last landing, two departures, a second vehicle — it is decided from the flight numbers, before booking.
