Lyon-Saint-Exupéry is not a resort airport. It is a connecting hub, with two passenger terminals and a TGV station on the airport site. For a stay in Courchevel, that difference has a very practical consequence: members of the same party often arrive separately, on different flights and sometimes hours apart.

When a party does not arrive together

This is the most common question on this route, and it has no generic answer. Depending on the gap between flights, the size of the party and the volume of luggage, the answer may be a single pick-up after the last landing, two separate departures, or a first vehicle followed by a second. Each carries a different cost and a different benefit.

At the other end: a resort on several levels

Courchevel is a commune of Savoie in its own right and occupies the Saint-Bon valley. The name covers several stepped levels: the full address decides the approach and sometimes the vehicle. We ask for it when you book.

What the figures on this page are worth

The distance and journey time shown are measured on the public road network, from the Terminal 1 drop-off area at Lyon-Saint-Exupéry to the resort’s public reference point — its tourist office — never to your accommodation. The time is free-flowing driving, excluding winter conditions: it places the journey, it does not commit it. Traffic, weather, changeover Saturday and your final address all move it — your flight sets the departure time.
