Chambéry Savoie Mont Blanc is an airport whose winter activity concentrates sharply: a large share of arrivals happens on the same day and within a narrow window. On a Saturday several flights can land close together, and every passenger looks for a vehicle at the same moment.
What that actually changes
It is not the road that saturates first: it is the ground immediately around the terminal. At a modest airport, pick-up spaces are limited, and things flow because each vehicle arrives at the right moment rather than because it waits a long time on site.
Our job is therefore to time the vehicle to when you actually come out, not to leave it parked for an hour. It is also why we ask you to tell us straight away about anything unexpected on arrival: a missing bag or a longer check changes the order of things.
At the other end: a long valley
Méribel belongs to the commune of Les Allues and occupies the valley of the same name, at the centre of the ski area. The valley is long and its sectors are not all reached in the same place: the full address, not the resort name.

What the figures on this page are worth
The distance and journey time shown are measured on the public road network, from the Chambéry terminal to the resort’s public reference point — its tourist office — never to your accommodation. The time is free-flowing driving, excluding winter conditions: on a short run it gives the order of magnitude, it promises nothing. Traffic, weather and changeover Saturday move it, and it is your actual exit from the terminal that sets the pick-up.
