Private transfers to La Plagne

La Plagne is not one resort but eleven villages spread between 1,250 m and 2,050 m on the same mountainside of the Tarentaise: Plagne Centre, Belle Plagne, Plagne Bellecôte, Plagne Villages, Plagne Soleil, Plagne 1800 and Aime-la-Plagne on the upper plateau, Plagne Montalbert on its western shoulder, Montchavin and Les Coches on the Vanoise Express side, and Champagny-en-Vanoise around the mountain entirely, facing Courchevel. No single altitude sums it up: it is your arrival village that shapes the journey.

Eleven villages, one booking detail

Two villages of La Plagne can sit forty minutes apart by road. Champagny is reached from Moûtiers by its own valley; Montchavin and Les Coches leave the main climb early; the plateau villages share the road from Aime before splitting at the top. “La Plagne” on its own is therefore not an arrival address — the village and residence given at booking decide the route, and in the pedestrian cores of Belle Plagne and Plagne 1800 the driver stops at the closest authorised point and helps with luggage from there.

The climb from Aime

The approach follows the Tarentaise valley — Albertville, Moûtiers, then Aime — before the mountain road takes over: switchbacks, altitude, and in winter the possibility of equipment requirements above Mâcot. The commune’s town hall sits down in the valley at Mâcot-la-Plagne; the resort lives a good six hundred metres higher.

Paradiski, by cable

With Les Arcs across the valley, La Plagne forms Paradiski, linked by the Vanoise Express double-decker cable car from Montchavin–Les Coches. Guests splitting a stay between the two resorts often ski across and let us move the luggage by road — a detail worth planning at booking rather than on the morning itself.
